Bai Yuan, the step-sister of one of Xuan Zhen's Junior Officials, has never had a life so absurd or out of the ordinary.
She grew up in an orphanage with her two older siblings, but soon, they leave her for better futures and lives.
Growing up, she had always been taught to worship gods, being taken from one temple to another. On one of the trips, she found out about the Lord Wind Master, and devoted her life to be their believer.

At age 13, she found a piece of paper, with a phrase written in it.

Being liked, she was chosen by the woman who was Shi Qingxuan in disguise to join them as their junior official.
